The Annual MATHWEST Spring Conference
Cross-Curriculum Connections

Owl - We hope you have a Hoot! Helping Others by Outstanding Teaching

REGISTER ONLINE!

Make professional connections, while learning from experienced educators. Receive loads of great classroom activities and ideas, and return to your classroom with a renewed enthusiasm for teaching. Designed specifically for mathematics teachers, the conference is to be held in Springfield, Massachusetts on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Sheraton Springfield at Monarch Place.

Representing hundreds of teachers in various grade levels throughout Western Massachusetts, MATHWEST is the local partner affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

“Cross-Curriculum Connections” establishes the important links between mathematics and the other disciplines and stands as our theme for the conference. By challenging educators to find real-world applications for traditional mathematic concepts, it will make the subject more enjoyable while enhancing teaching methods.

Registration Information

There are two ways to register for our conference. Online registration requires a credit card payment via Google Checkout. A $5 processing fee applies. Offline registration may be used for other forms of payment including credit cards, checks, money orders and purchase orders. Print out the offline registration form and mail your payment to MATHWEST.

The program will consist of special elementary, middle school, and high school tracks. Each participant can attend up to four 1.5 hour workshops during the day, with two options for each track during any time slot. There will be a wide variety of vendors available in the exhibit area as well. And as always, there will be a continental breakfast and a full luncheon included in the price of the conference.

Conference Program

We are pleased to announce the program for the spring conference is complete. Thank you to all of you who submitted such outstanding proposals. It was a difficult decision to choose only twenty-four for our conference program.

The complete conference mailer with all session information is available online and will be mailed to our members in the beginning of January. In addition, you can access up-to-date program descriptions here as well.

Become a Vendor or Sponsor the Conference

The vendor exhibits will be held in the pre-function area of the ballroom level of the Sheraton Hotel. A minimum exhibition charge is required to include your company during this conference. The fee outfits your exhibit area with a fully skirted, eight-foot table. In addition, complimentary food and beverages, as well as a luncheon, will be included for up to two of your representatives. Space is limited, so only a small number of exhibitors will be able to attend.

Your company is also invited to sponsor a function during the conference, such as breakfast, lunch, or coffee break. All companies, who sponsor a function, will receive a complementary table in the exhibit area. In addition, there are also advertisement possibilities in our conference mailer and program.

If you are interested in exhibiting or sponsoring a function during the conference, download a vendor registration form below. All forms should be received by November 30th to guarantee your spot. There is limited space, and reservations will be on first-come, first-serve basis. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Vendor Relations Chair, Cecilia Goncalves, directly at (413)374-9901 or via e-mail at msgoncalves2002@yahoo.com. We look forward to your participation and support.

If you wish particpate, please fill out our vendor reservation form.
